In 2000, founding partners Stuart Gruendl and Thomas deRegt formed BayRock Residential, LLC to build and develop landmark, multifamily communities. The principals of BayRock have over 30 years of real estate experience. This history includes the successful development of over 7,000 apartment homes and several master-planned communities. Using this extensive experience, the principals are truly focused on prudent management of costs, while delivering above-average economic results for its customer partners.

Green: Multifamily development has been beseiged by higher costs for raw materials, labor and energy. Environmentally sustainable buildings often are more cost effective for Owners and Residents, even after factoring in the premium to build our communities. Green requirements are now standard in most municipal building codes in the Western US. Class A multifamily communities now require several Green standards. Thus, most new BayRock communities will be LEED-certified or LEED-eligible. BayRock's commitment is evidenced by employing a LEED Accredited Professional (LAP) in-house. We are committed to building quality, enduring and livable places that positively contribute to the community in which they are located.

Community: As BayRock continues to make multiple investments in most of its submarkets, it continues to give back beyond the real estate. Similar to its real estate underwriting, the firm is actively giving to those charitable organizations that have an above-average chance of success and strive for excellence.
